Image evidence: Hopewell-related Middle Woodland (about 200 BCE–500 CE, Ohio Valley)

Middle Woodland communities in northern and eastern Kentucky, tied to the Hopewell exchange network, who built earthworks such as Old Fort at the Portsmouth Group. Kentucky sites show Hopewell-style goods, though fewer than north of the Ohio.
